100 pushups update

I’ve been taking this kind of slow since I’ve gone completely wimpy over the past year and a half or so, but there has been progress. Not a lot of progress, but a noticeable difference in the max number of pushups I can do. I took the End Of Week 2 test and managed to pull off 17, but it wasn’t easy. That puts me in column one for week three and I can tell already that it’s going to be a total ass-kicker.

To supplement my pushup program I’m also working with Mr. H’s weight set. The man had 60 lbs on it and I had to remove 40 just so I could do curls without tearing my elbow joints out of alignment.  (Originally I had typed “tearing my elbows out of their sockets” but elbows don’t have sockets N’ER!)  Unfortunately for me, elbow pain seems to come along with any upper body strength training program I take up no matter how easy I take it on myself.

P.S. Yes, I’m doing boy pushups. Nyeesh.
